Billed monthly through Stripe. A whole-list search counts as one search. Suggesting items for an event and logging what you saved do not count as searches. Searches reset at the start of each month and do not roll over.

Why isn't it all free?

Most deal sites are free because they run ads or because stores pay to be listed. We do neither. Every search here runs a live web search and an AI model, and that costs us real money each time. So free searches are limited, and people who search a lot pay a few dollars a month. That is how we keep it free of ads and free of sponsored deals.

Questions

Is DealScout free?

You can try it free. Anyone can run 1 search with no account. A free account adds 3 more searches, with no credit card. Those 3 free searches do not renew. The paid plans are for people who search a lot.

Do I need a credit card to start?

No. You only enter a card if you choose a paid plan, and you enter it on Stripe's page, not ours.

Where do the results come from?

Product, food and new-spot results come from a live web search run by an AI model (Claude, made by Anthropic). Flight prices come from Travelpayouts when they have the route, and from a web search when they do not. Food recall notices come straight from the U.S. FDA. We do not sell placement, so no store pays to show up higher.

How fresh are the prices?

Each search looks things up when you run it. If someone ran the exact same search near the same place in the last 6 hours or so, you get that earlier result so it comes back faster. Every price says whether it is confirmed (we found it), an estimate, or that we can't confirm it. Store prices change, so check before you drive.

Do you sell my data?

No. We do not sell your data and we do not run ads. The page on how we handle your data lists what we keep and who helps us run the site.

How does DealScout make money?

From the paid plans. If you book a flight through one of our flight links, the booking site may pay us a small commission. It does not change the price you pay.

What happens when I run out of searches?

You will see a message with your options. On a paid plan your searches reset at the start of each month, and unused searches do not roll over.

Can I cancel?

Yes, any time. Open the menu in the app and choose Manage plan.

Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. More on how we handle your data. Questions about plans? Email derailleurapps@gmail.com.
